Cory Sea on Beauty, Healing, and Weaving Jazz into Digital Art
Cory Sea is a digital artist and jazz guitarist whose creative journey began in childhood, inspired by his father who was a painter and art professor. With a BA in Art from the University of Michigan and an MFA from the University of New Mexico, Cory’s path has always been guided by a desire to bring beauty into the world. His shift into digital art began in 2008, when he was invited to create visual content for a relaxation DVD for hospital patients in Australia. That experience marked the beginning of his deep engagement with digital media. We asked Cory about his art, creative process, and inspirations.

Artist Interview: Juan "Wamoo" Alvarez
Juan Alvarez, also known as Wamoo, is a Dominican-born, Washington Heights-raised artist working at the intersection of music, visual art, and live performance. His practice blends video and self-produced music, drawing from his experience immigrating to the United States as a child. Video games and music served as both a means of adaptation and a coping mechanism, shaping his artistic language. Through experimental music videos, self-produced footage, and found media, Wamoo remixes early digital aesthetics, characters, and cosplay to construct multi-dimensional experiences that merge personal history with pop culture. We asked Wamoo about his art, creative process, and inspirations.
