Nature has been a source of inspiration for artists for centuries, and contemporary digital artists are no exception. Artists interpret the natural world around them in the most creative ways and provide a fresh perspective on the beauty of nature while inspiring a deeper appreciation in the viewer. Nature can be complex and even fragile, yet its wonder is invigorating and powerful.

Nature in the Digital Age is a wonderful digital art exhibition that reimagines Mother Nature in 1s and 0s. Bringing together NFT artworks by six talented artists, the show is a must-see for the art lovers in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Tapping into the liminal realm where the distinction between the natural and the digital blurs, the exhibition invites the viewers to admire the beauty of nature through digital creativity. The curators aim to hold space to reflect and connect to the evolving relationship of humans and nature in an increasingly digitized society.

Beautiful (and organic!) lavenders in glass vases alongside the digital flowers on the screens is a wonderful and thoughtful touch to the exhibition.

Nature in the Digital Age features works by six brilliant digital artists. The collection accomplishes a great variety of forms of digital artworks including generative art, collage, and video.

We’re welcomed into the gallery with Derrick Schultz’s spectacular cyanotype print and pen plotter animations. Mesmerizing generative works by Jonathan McCabe, Sonarpilot, and Numbersinmotion reimagine mathematical aesthetics in nature by recreating patterns and computer-generated organisms. While Anna Condo’s three striking works present the subtle beauty of flowers through interplays of color, contrast, texture, and tone, Erin McGean recontextualizes vintage images in her digital collages to reflect on the past and the future of the natural. The exhibition is an impressive collection celebrating wonders of our nature in digital form.

Founded by Lynn Rosenberger, Andrin Pfister, and Lilien Hornung-Mary, The NFT Gallery is an accessible space for digital and NFT art for both collectors and creators. Combining cutting-edge technology with visionary artists, the gallery offers a curated selection of authentic and unique artworks to purchase online via the blockchain technology as well as in physical displays. In addition to exhibition programming, The NFT Gallery aims to help people better understand digital arts and NFTs and promote further participation in the field by providing educational resources and tools.
